A few months ago, I came across this quote on a photographer’s blog.
“When a child’s childhood was their own and not for public display.” ~Jessica Peterson
In few and simple words, she eloquently penned how I feel about photographing children and then sharing. There is great purpose in photographing a newborn: in a fresh and fleeting season, what can be more valuable than capturing those moments? Even still, the innocence and beauty in a newborn’s childhood is his or her’s. Not mine. If I can capture those moments, while keeping confidentiality and closeness for the family, then I will.
Consequently, my newborn posts will be generally shorter and they will never include the babe’s full name. If your philosophy is different, I respect you.
